I’m still here.

On June 18, my life could have ended. I had a seizure behind the wheel and lost consciousness. My car crossed three lanes of a busy road, hit a light pole, and crashed into a parked vehicle in a Burger King drive-thru.

When I came to, I was surrounded by first responders. I was injured and confused. With PTSD, the shouting and banging on the window was terrifying. I didn’t understand they were trying to help me. They broke the back window so they could unlock the car and get me out safely.

The crash left me with eight burst fractures throughout my thoracic and lumbar spine. A pulmonary embolism in my left lung meant I was too unstable for surgery. For the first five days, the priority was getting me stable. That included four days on a heparin drip.

On June 23, I had spinal fusion surgery. The neurosurgery and plastics teams placed a metal rod and screws from T1 to T6. The fractures at T7, L3, and L4 were left to heal on their own because they were not causing immediate harm.

The car was totaled. My spine was broken. But I am still here. I can still move my arms and legs. I can still walk. I can still breathe. I can still praise God. I don’t call that luck. I call it grace.

Recovery is still part of my life. I’ve been through more hospital stays than I ever expected. I’ve known pain, fear, uncertainty, and moments when I didn’t know what the next day would look like. I’m not telling this story from a place where everything is behind me.

But in the middle of it, I’ve seen family show up, friends become family, and strangers care. I’ve seen prayers answered and found strength I didn’t know I had. My first responders, ER staff, nurses, doctors, plastics team, and neurosurgeons helped carry me through. So did everyone who prayed, called, texted, encouraged me, and supported my family. Thank you.

I believe there is purpose in what I’ve been through. That doesn’t make the pain easy or mean I have every answer. It means I don’t want my story to end with what happened to me. God spared me for a reason, and I want the life I’m still here to live to point back to Him.

That is what I’m building Jesus Saves around. My testimony is not a small part of this brand. It’s the reason behind it. I’m building while I recover because I want to share the faith that has carried me through, and reach people who are in the trenches of their own lives.

The words on our hoodies are personal. Jesus Saves. Saved by Grace. They speak to what I believe and what I’ve lived. If a hoodie opens a conversation, reminds someone to pray, or helps one person feel less alone, that matters to me.

This isn’t a moment. It’s a movement. My hope is that it grows beyond my story. We will plant seeds in others, one thread at a time. You don’t need a perfect testimony, and you don’t need to buy anything to belong here. Share your story. Pray for someone. Show up for the person who needs you.

If you’re walking through something heavy right now, I want you to know why I’m sharing this: I believe God is not finished with you. There is purpose in your pain, and your hardest season doesn’t have to be the end of your story.

I’m blessed to be alive. I’m blessed to be walking. I’m blessed to have the people I have around me. More than anything, I’m blessed to have Jesus in my life. I will never stop giving Him the glory.
